This 5 day course is designed as an introduction to investigation for new investigators or for those in need of refresher training. It is a generic course as it focuses largely on ethical approaches to investigation that are compliant with human rights legislation.
The course works through a themed case study allowing students to immerse themselves in the investigation. They plan what they will do in respect of information provided to them and are encouraged to take account of all potential evidence trails whilst developing professional and accountable procedures.
No specific requirements for these un-accredited short courses but, please note they will all be taught in English.
Students undertaking this short course will be provided with the knowledge and techniques to examine current internationally recognised procedures when conducting investigations using practical case studies. This allows the student to develop confidence and capability in rigorous and ethical approaches to successful investigation and procedures to prosecution or tribunal level.
